Just another headphone?

I recently was looking for a good headphone for my Powerbook and also the iPod. I went to a local store and tested several headphones, which were availible there. At first I thought maybe a in ear headphone would be the best for me, but soon I realized, it wouldn't sound better than my old sony in ear headphone. At least not way better.

Soon I saw the somewhat strange looking Koss Porta Pro, which was also availible on that store and I asked the salesperson about it. I before had read some very nice articles about the Koss Porta Pro on several other websites and so I was curious how it really sounds.

The Sound

When I first listened with the Koss Porta Pro to a song with an acoustic guitar, I was very pleased with the result and I saw that all those websites were right. The sound is just marvelous and even harder techno songs with very deep bass sound very good. Indeed the bass is sounds nearly as deep as in my car with a big subwoofer. Btw. one feature I didn't mention is that it has a lifetime guarantee.

Summary

I never regretted to have bought the Koss Porta Pro, it could only maybe have been cheaper. The only bad point with it is, that a friend of mine also wanted to have one, after he listened to some songs on with my Koss Porta Pro.
